Symptoms of Canker Sores

The first symptom and individual will feel when a canker sore is developing is a burning or tingling in the mouth.  This is followed by a red bump that eventually opens up into a sore.  The ulcer is typically yellow or white at its center and will turn gray as it heals.  Although not as frequent, additional symptoms can include fever, enlarged lymph nodes and malaise.
